Garth Bernstein, also known as Aqualad, is a recurring character in the series DC Super Hero Girls.

Depiction[]

Garth is first prominently featured in the episode Hate Triangle where Jessica instructs Hal to look and behave like Garth so Star Sapphire will stop being madly in love with him. Garth takes offense at this suggestion.

Garth is briefly featured in the short Taco Tuesday where Doris Zeul finds him stuffed in a locker and leaves him there.

Mr Chapin asks Garth "Do you even have a last name?" in the episode Scrambled Eggs. Garth's last name does not appear in the show credits, but the opening sequence shows his full name, Garth Bernstein, under his photo in the school yearbook.

Garth is prominently featured in the short Go Fish, where he uses his superpowers to try to safely deliver a pet goldfish, Goldberg, to Karen as a birthday present. When Garth trips and Goldberg flies out of the fish tank, Garth reaches his hand, and in turn the water from the fish tank turns into the shape of a hand and grabs Golberg, but it slips away. When Goldberg falls through a drain grate, Garth runs through the street and raises his arm, and water shoots up into the air from under each manhole cover Garth passes. Garth jumps onto a manhole cover and surfs a torrent of water to catch Goldberg.

Garth uses his water-manipulation powers extensively in the episode DC Super Hero Boys. At first he demonstrates his powers by making the contents of a water bottle float between his hands. He later tosses the water from the bottle at Supergirl, who fires at the water with her heat ray and dissipates it. When confronting Zod, Garth uses water from a fire hydrant to create a dragon-shaped torrent of water and force Zod back through the portal to the Phantom Zone.

Garth says he is "King of the Oceans" in the episode Retreat. Despite being able to lift himself up on a swirling water spout, he is caught off-guard and gets swallowed whole by a plant sent by Poison Ivy.

A giant hand made of water carries a car with Garth, Karen, Diana, and a driving instructor out of the ocean after Diana crashes it into the ocean while pursuing Harley Quinn in a car chase in the episode Crash Course.
